Getting Started

The program, which is outlined below, includes multiple hours of free online training from Bruce Shelton, MD, MD(H) our Chief Medical Adviser (who has personally lost 60 pounds on the hCG diet) in an easy to use webinar format, a 46 page patient guide, a 120 page practitioner guide, an extensive practitioner focused FAQ guide, as well as free patient marketing materials.

Our practitioners have guided thousands of patients through the hCG diet and you will gain the benefit of that experience by utilizing our program.

The education and materials below will provide you with the step-by-step information you will need to educate yourself and then guide your patients through the process. Here are the steps:

Read "Pounds & Inches" by Dr. Simeons, the originator of the hCG diet.

  1. This webinar deals with the specific questions that practitioners will be dealing with including which patients should not do the diet, which patients need to be closely monitored, dealing with hunger, emotions, exercise, and potential side effects and areas of risk.

Now that you are very interested in implementing the hCG program in your practice you should watch the Introduction to Comprehensive Homeopathics webinar (found on the same practitioner resource page) which will teach you what you need to know about the Detox Protocol. We absolutely recommend that every patient on the hCG Program be on the Detox Protocol simultaneously. We can't emphasize this enough: with the amount of fat loss and potential toxicity, we believe this is absolutely essential.
So, you have read the manuscript, watched the webinars, read the top 30 FAQ document, and now understand the detox protocol as well. Now you are ready to go to the final steps:
1. Call DesBio and acquire an account application and open an account if you haven’t already done so.
2. You will need to order the following to get started:
  1. hCG (1 bottle will last through the 26 day program and 2 bottles for the 43 day program). A single bottle costs $19.95, if you buy 12 the price goes to $16.95 per bottle, and if you buy 24 at a time the price goes to $14.95 per bottle.
  2. Detox Kits. The 6 part detox (Cerbromax, Spinalmax, Detox I, II, III, and Matrix Support) should be included with every patient and each bottle costs $10.95. The detox kits will not only enhance the efficacy, but will up-regulate and support all of the major detox and drainage functions in the body. It is critically important.   3. Other support nutritionals. The FAQ document gives some suggestions of other support nutritionals that may be needed during the diet. It is up to you whether you would like to have one or two on hand or wait til needed. We recommend at least ordering one of the calcium/magnesium/potassium to have on hand. You may have some of your own preferences here that would work just as well.
  4. 46 page Patient Guides. These are $4.95 each (or $3.95 in packs of 24). Each patient that goes through the diet will need one of these as it will be their guide through the diet.
  5. 120 page Practitioner Guide. This is $25. This guide is extensive in identifying plateau issues and how to work with patients. It also has additional recipes, tracking documents, etc. This is not absolutely necessary, but may be worth it if you want additional support information.

Common Questions for Implementation

1. How much are practitioners charging for the program?

Practitioner charges vary. Most practitioners provide the hCG, detox kit, and patient guides and many require (and we recommend) a first office “health visit” to make sure the patient is healthy enough and to explain the program to him. Once the diet is started, the first week is the biggest transition so most practitioners schedule an office visit to check on the patients after 7-9 days (which would include the initial 3 days of fat loading and 4-6 days of the low-calorie diet). After that, they may only have them check in as needed, or they may schedule an additional follow-up visit in 2 weeks.

In general, the cost to patients is equivalent to 2 (or three) office visits, $40 (suggested retail) for a bottle of hCG, and $100-$130 (suggested retail) for the detox kit. Most practitioners give the blue Patient Guide as part of the package. As an average, the short (26 day) hCG Program seems to range from $250 - $500 depending on the practice and the geographic location. However, individual practitioners have used a wide variety of pricing structures.

2. What is the source of your hCG?

All of our homeopathics are hand-succussed and made in an FDA-registered and inspected facility. Our hCG Professional Formula is also listed with the FDA and has a National Drug Code (NDC) number. Our hCG is made in the USA and was sourced from pregnant human female urine.

3. What makes hCG Professional Formula different?

We have thousands of practitioners that have relied on us for decades to deliver quality products that will work for their patients. We watched and studied the hCG phenomenon in 2008 and 2009 by talking with practitioners, monitoring results, and even having our own Chief Medical Adviser utilize the diet himself.
